Poster of the Day Awards

Everyday during the poster session a „Poster of the day“ was nominated. The winners are:

Special Train Offer by Deutsche Bahn and HCC

The Deutsche Bahn in cooperation with the Hannover Congress Centrum (HCC) have a special offer for travelling within Germany to/from Hannover. For the ICDE 2011 you can travel for the following fixed price:

  • Travel 2nd Class: 99 Euro
  • Travel 1st Class: 159 Euro

The tickets need to be booked at least 3 days in advance and the number is limited. The tickets are bounded to the booked train. For an additional 20 Euro you can buy a full flexible ticket.

1. Instructions for paper presentations

All authors are invited to give in addition to the regular 20 min presentation of their paper also a 2 minute teaser talk and to present a poster during the poster coffee. In the following we give more details on the preparation of each event.

ICDE Need-Based Registration Grants for Students

By support of the Klaus Tschira Foundation, ICDE can offer a limited number of grants available for undergraduate and graduate students that need financial support in order to attend the ICDE 2011 conference.

The Organizing Committee is glad to announce that the Prime Minister of the federal state of Lower Saxony  David McAllister has kindly accepted the invitation to be the Patron of the 27th IEEE International Conference on Data Engineering.

Keynote Speakers confirmed

The Organizing Committee is pleased to announce that Anastasia Ailamaki (EPFL), Johannes Gehrke (Cornell University) and Georg Gottlob (Oxford University) will be keynote speakers at ICDE 2011.
